Poker is a thrilling game, but 4 Card Poker takes it up another notch, that requires skill, patience and guts. The playing roles for four card poker are pretty forthright and easily understandable. You are probably disappointed that you would get 2 cards in a five card , but that’s not it. In this game you get 4 cards to make the best possible five card hand. The dealer, on the other hand, gets six cards and uses them to make the best poker hand.
The mechanics of the 4 Card Poker game go like this –
Players make their bets on the pot or Aces.
The dealer has to deal five cards for each player.
The dealer deals six cards for himself and one of them is dealt face-up.
Four Card Poker features a tug of war against the dealer, and an optional side bet on the table. It is an experience on its own, playing this variation online. It’s considered similar to three card poker but it’s not. There’s one major difference , in 3 Card Poker, the players must equal the Ante player, whereas, here, the players can bet upto 3 times of the Ante placed by them to stay in the game.
It’s quite simple really, all you have to do is make the best five card poker hand which is higher than or equal to the rank of the dealer’s hand. In order to play against the dealer you have to make an ante bet. After being dealt with five cards facedown; these are the options available for you:
Forfeit your hand and bet high.
Continue playing and bet according to your players betting pattern.
Playing Four card poker is an art!
Players compete against the dealer. The dealer consistently tends to qualify. The Players may make an Ante wager to play against the dealer’s hand. They can also Ace up to play against the table.
Each player on the table is dealt with, four cards to make the best hand by discarding two cards from the lot. They need to play that against the dealer. Players correspondingly decide whether to play the hand or fold. The dealer’s hand is then divulged and collated to other players’ hands. A mechanized bonus is paid to all the players with high hands.

How to play 4 card poker online?
The game is quite kindred to Three Card Poker, but with one major difference! Here, the players can bet up to three times the pot to stay in the game. In case there is a tie between a player and the dealer then it’s basically a win-win situation. Players usually receive 4 cards, but can only use 2 cards to create their best and a high hand.
Firstly, the player must decide if he/she wishes to play their hand against the dealer, against the implicit odds.
In case the player chooses to compete their hand against the dealer’s , he/she must place an ‘ante wager.’
Once the player comes up with their hand, they can either play by placing a wager which is equal to or can either be up to 3 times of their pot wager. In case the player chooses to not to do this, the last option is just to fold.
The dealer’s hand is always equipped, by default! Here, the players’ hand values are compared to the dealer’s hand. In case there is a draw between a player and the dealer then they win on both wagers.
Also, if the player holds a high value hand, the dealer and the player are entitled to a bonus .The amount of the bonus depends on the value of their wager.
If the player’s hand contains a pair of aces or a higher pair, the player is bound to win. Once they have seen their hand, the player has few options available in terms of gameplay:
Place a bet: this can be equal to or up to 3 times their bet in the Ante
Fold: where the player will confiscate their bet.
The basic strategy for the bet is quite easy to learn :
Raise 1X with a pair of threes.
Raise 3X with a pair of 10s or higher.
